Contact management is a fundamental part of using Dewy. While many softwares use lists to organize different patients, Dewy allows you to streamline list management with segments. Segments are essentially “sub lists” that allow you to group contacts based on fields, tags or other attributes within a larger umbrella list.
Having one main list and using segments to organize it allows you to:
Within Dewy, you can create segments based on almost any field, tag or data point. Customers have created segments based on:
Also, segments are active. This means that after creating a segment based on a certain field, tag or attribute, new contacts will be added to the segment if they fulfill the right conditions. For example: if you create a segment based on a specific location, any new contact that is created that has the same location field will be added to the segment.
With segments, the potential to engage your database with targeted offers is endless!

We recommend giving the segment a simple, yet descriptive name.
Type in different fields such as “Treatment”, “Location” or “Total Spent” and select a the option that you would like. For example: if you want to segment CoolSculpting patients, type in “Treatment” and select “CoolSculpting”.

Dewy Dermatology has three practices in New Jersey. They have a practice in Woodcliff Lake, Montvale, and Park Ridge. They recently decided that they want to only send a 20% CoolSculpting Campaign to the Montvale and Park Ridge locations.
In order to do so, Dewy Dermatology created a segment within the All Patients list that only includes contacts that have a treatment location of ‘Montvale’ and ‘Park Ridge’. They can now go into their campaigns, follow the steps above and send a campaign to only the Montvale and Park Ridge clients. Moving forward, any new contact that has a location at Montvale or Park Ridge will be added to the respective segment.
